🎯RRB Group D 2026 – Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT-1) — An online objective-type exam of 100 marks and 90 minutes covering: Mathematics (25 marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 marks), General Science (25 marks), and General Awareness & Current Affairs (20 marks). Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — A physical fitness test. Male candidates must carry a 35 kg weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes AND run 1000 metres in 4 minutes 15 seconds. Female candidates must carry a 20 kg weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes AND run 1000 metres in 5 minutes 40 seconds. PET is qualifying in nature — pass/fail only.
- Document Verification (DV) — Shortlisted candidates after PET are called for DV. Original 10th certificate, category certificate, Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, and disability certificate (if applicable) must be produced.
- Medical Examination — A medical fitness test at Railway hospitals. Vision standards, hearing standards, and general physical health are checked. Visual acuity requirements vary by post — Pointsman-B has stricter vision standards due to operational requirements.
