Provides incentive of Rs 2.5 Lakh for inter-caste marriages where one partner belongs to Scheduled Caste. Under Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriage. Promotes social harmony and elimination of caste-based discrimination in Gujarat.
Provides financial incentive for marriage where at least one partner is differently-abled. If one partner is disabled — Rs 25,000, if both disabled — Rs 50,000. Encourages social inclusion and marriage of differently-abled individuals and supports them in starting family life.
Provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000 to families who take in orphan or destitute children as foster children. Aims to provide family environment to children without parents instead of institutional care. Benefit continues until the child turns 18 years of age.
Provides monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,250 to young widows and deserted women aged 18-40 years in Gujarat. Income must be below Rs 1.5 Lakh per annum. Focuses specifically on younger widows who need financial support to rebuild their life and raise children.
Savings instrument promoted especially for farmers in Gujarat to invest agricultural income safely. Amount doubles in approximately 115 months at 7.5% interest rate. No maximum investment limit, highly liquid (can be encashed after 2.5 years) and transferable. Backed by Government of India.
Provides free soil health cards to farmers showing soil nutrient status and fertilizer recommendations for their land. Helps farmers optimize fertilizer use, reduce costs and improve crop yield. Soil testing done at government-certified labs. Card renewed every 2 years.
Annual month-long agricultural awareness and outreach program where agricultural officers visit each village to provide soil testing, new variety seeds, scheme enrollment, training and demonstrations. Aims to upgrade farming practices and ensure direct farmer-government interaction for scheme access.
PM Fasal Bima Yojana implemented in Gujarat through iKhedut portal. Provides comprehensive crop insurance at minimal premium (1.5-2%). Compensates for crop losses due to natural calamities, pests and diseases. Gujarat has one of the highest farmer enrollment numbers under PMFBY.
Annual mass benefit delivery events organized across Gujarat to directly deliver welfare scheme benefits to poor families.
