Key support schemes include NIPUN Bharat (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy), which focuses on ensuring that every child achieves foundational literacy and numeracy by the end of Grade 3. Another major pillar is the PM-SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) scheme, which aims to develop more than 14,500 schools as model institutions that showcase the implementation of NEP and offer mentorship to other schools. For higher education, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) has been established to facilitate the digital storage of credits earned by students, allowing for multiple entry and exit points in degree programs.
