Is yojana ka mukhya uddeshya gramin garib parivaron ko Self-Help Groups (SHGs) yaani 'Swayam Sahayata Samuh' mein sangathit karna hai. NRLM ka manna hai ki garibon mein bahut talent hota hai, bas unhe sahi platform aur capital (paisa) ki zaroori hai. Is yojana ke tehat mahilaon ka group banaya jata hai jo har hafte thodi-thodi bachat (savings) karti hain. Sarkar in groups ko 'Revolving Fund' (₹15,000) aur 'Community Investment Fund' (₹1.10 lakh se ₹1.50 lakh) deti hai taaki woh apna chota business shuru kar sakein. Business jaise ki pashupalan (animal husbandry), silai (stitching), kheti, ya kirana dukan. NRLM mahilaon ko bank se saste byaj dar (Interest Subvention) par loan dilwane mein bhi madad karta hai. Is scheme ne mahilaon ko 'Lakhpati Didi' banane ka sapna dikhaya hai. NRLM sirf paisa hi nahi deta, balki financial literacy aur skills bhi sikhata hai. 'Bank Sakhi', 'Krishi Sakhi' aur 'Pashu Sakhi' jaise roles se mahilaon ko gaon mein hi expert banaya jata hai. Is yojana ne rural households ki income ko diversify kiya hai taaki woh sirf kheti par nirbhar na rahein. Vulnerability Reduction Fund (VRF) ke zariye emergency mein parivaron ki madad ki jati hai. Is mission ka target hai ki har gramin garib parivar se kam se kam ek mahila SHG ki sadasya bane. NRLM has empowered millions of women to take leadership roles in their communities. Groups ke zariye mahilaon ka confidence badhta hai aur woh samajik muddon par bhi baat karti hain. Digital transactions ko badhava dene ke liye SHGs ko tablets aur training di jati hai. It is a community-driven approach where the poor themselves manage their institutions. NRLM promotes 'Value Chain' development for local products, helping women sell their handmade goods in big markets. Overall, it is the world's largest program for creating livelihoods for the rural poor, especially women, making them self-reliant and financially independent. Gaon ki arthvyavastha ko majboot karne mein iska bahut bada haath hai.
