Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) is the largest behavior change program in the world, launched to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF). Is yojana ka mukhya maqsad har gramin parivar ko shauchalay (Toilet) ki suvidha dena aur saf-safai ke prati jagrukta failana hai. Bharat sarkar har eligible parivar ko toilet banane ke liye ₹12,000 ki arthik sahayata (Incentive) deti hai. Ye paisa do installments mein ya ek saath construction ke baad diya jata hai. Swachh Bharat sirf toilet banane tak simit nahi hai; isme Solid and Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) par bhi zor diya jata hai taaki gaon ka kachra sahi se manage ho sake. Is mission ki wajah se gramin kshetron mein bimarion ka khatra kam hua hai, khaas kar bacchon aur mahilaon mein health issues kaafi sudhre hain. 'Swachhagrahis' yaani volunteers gaon-gaon jaakar logo ko samjhate hain ki khule mein shauch karna kyun khatarnak hai. Mission ka Phase-2 (ODF Plus) ab shuru ho chuka hai, jisme model villages banaye ja rahe hain jahan kachra prabandhan (waste management) ki behtareen suvidha ho. School aur Anganwadis mein bhi alag se toilets banaye gaye hain. Purity, health, and cleanliness are the three pillars of this grand vision. Is yojana ne plastic waste management aur gobar-dhan (Biogas) ko bhi integrate kiya hai taaki kisan kachre se kanchas (wealth) kama sakein. Overall, SBM-G is a journey towards a clean and healthy India, fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi. Isne bharat ke rural landscape ko puri tarah badal diya hai.
